PEACEFUL WARRIOR

Shiva could be seen as the Higher Self killing the ego (King Daksha) in the name of love (Sati).

The story reminds us to soften and better control the parts of ourselves which we do not like rather than to deny them. Shiva practiced compassion towards the harmful parts of himself as he brought Daksha back to life.

In Peaceful Warrior pose we look up as if towards our potential while reaching back for a support and tools that allow us to befriend our ego and stay true to ourselves.
