ALIAS "UPSIDE DOWN"
Some of my friends know me as "Upside Down". Not for the ability to do a headstand though, but rather the context of my life. I get to participate in some hardly imaginable situations and often find myself with a head in the clouds.

Yoga sets me off on an adventurous journey of self-exploration, allowing to better understand who I am.
I have started the dialogue with my own body and am in a process of quieting down the one happening in my mind.
Yoga makes me feel grounded while spacious & stronger but light.

MY STORY

Is complex and tangled.

I am on the road since 18, leaving my home in Czech with a dream to travel and see all the beauty and miracles the world has to offer.

It all began in Scotland, beautiful and wild land where I eventually settled for inconsistent 8 years. This was a long period of various seasonal jobs in agriculture and living in a caravan in return for the possibility to go for a backpacking trip each year. I proved to be a top level berry picker and also built a decent career in farming - potato specialist, s'il vous plaît!

Few life twists later I challenged myself with an application to university in Edinburgh and succeeded.
The degree in tourism had shown to be an important step towards finding my home on Dalmatian coast.

I started working for a London based tour operator with operations in Croatia and finally moved to Split 5 years ago.

YOGA

I have always felt drawn to yoga but my practice was missing consistency in the past. The regular practice and real learning about its philosophy kicked of with my first training in India at the beginning of 2018.

This experience allowed me to look into the depths of yoga's teaching and notice the benefits of the intense practice on my body and mind.

There is so much to learn and explore and yoga is keeping me curious. I am intrigued with its therapeutic use on specific health issues, especially those considering our mental well-being.

I carry on learning and looking forward to share existing experience with anyone interested.

YOGA 22
I was asked about the origins of the name Yoga 22 few times.

The initial thought was using my nickname and start organising classes under "Kara Yoga". My local friends though strongly discouraged such idea explaining that "kara" is often used as swear word in Croatian, associated with male private parts.

This could be confusing.

I therefore decided to use my lucky number instead. Number 22 accompanies me since childhood and I have always perceived it as a messenger of something positive.

Regardless the personal experience I researched more about its symbolism and the findings just supported my decision:

"Number 22 is a powerful sign that you are on purpose in life and about to turn your dreams into a reality. It is associated with balance, cooperation, trust, love and service."
